Moroccan Red Clay, also known as Ghassoul Clay, is an extremely gentle clay that is known to exhibit amazing drawing powers. This clay draws oils from the skin which makes it a fantastic astringent for oily hair and skin. Furthermore, it stimulates skin circulation and because of its gentleness, it is suitable for even the most sensitive skin. This clay is recommended for acne, poison oak or ivy and skin rashes.

    My Best Selling Shampoo Bar!

I use this Moroccan Red Clay in my most popular shampoo bars. My customers love it. It absorbs excess oil and gives hair volume and body.

    Contains Red Iron Oxide

Posted by Maggie Hanus, Soap Bartender on 13th Sep 2018

As expected, I confirmed that this clay contains red iron oxide (a pigment), but I wish they would tell you that here. The color is quite intense and it will stain if you use too much in your soaps. We returned ours because of this.

    Good but....

Posted by Angelica on 30th Sep 2017

It works well, and is nice and soft and a lovely red color....but it stains. If you mix up a face mask with this, prepare to sleep with a red face, though, I found I could wash it off the next morning.

    My itch subsided!!

Posted by Violeta Gainato on 10th Dec 2016

I bought it mainly to help my face get the oil controlled. I was recently diagnosed with eczema on my neck and back that burnt and itched so bad. My doctor put me on steroid ointment. But I needed something else the body builds tolerance on medications. I finally decided to try this alternative and Yes it has subsided really dramatically improved on first application. I mixed 1 tsp of clay, 1/4 or less cup of liquid aloe vera, 1 tbsp of goat milk powder and applied it 1 or 2 coat depending how thick you'd like. I've itch maybe like a 2-3 times in a week since since my first application compared to like several times in a day. So yes I'm quite happy! I'll continue to do it!! I'll try dead sea clay next!
Disclaimer: What worked for me might not worked for another person so please do your research and it's a trial and error. Thank you.
