Activated Charcoal Powder
Common charcoal is manufactured out of coal, peat, wood, petroleum or even coconut shells. “Activated charcoal” is made by manufacturers heating common charcoal in the presence of a gas that causes the charcoal to develop internal spaces or pores that allow activated charcoal to trap chemicals. It is for this reason that activated charcoal is often used to absorb toxic substances.
(California Proposition 65 Statement): This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Amazing
I use this to brush my teeth, as a detox in my water, as a facial mask, and to do my own vegan make-up.

Great product!
Literally the only reason i didn't give this 5 stars was because of the packaging but, I understand the packaging to keep the prices as amazing as they are.

I love the product. I use it as a pre-tooth paste and it made my teeth really white. I also use it as a facial cleanser and it works wonders. it's amazing what you could do with this activated charcoal powder .:):);)

activated charcoal powder
the packaging is a disaster and extremely messy.
that needs to be changed fast or will not order it again -
It's great, but I made a huge mess with it.
Yay! Gonna make a charcoal soap! I figured, hey, it's a powder so like other ground stuff and powders I mixed it with a little warm almond oil so it wouldn't clump and it would mix better in the soap. BAD IDEA! Omg. What it made was a very effective pure black oil paint like substance that I managed to get on everything this side of the neighbor's driveway and it's by NO means easy to clean up. I read some recipes online that said to whisk it in a little at the time right into the soap. Gonna try that next time. The soap turned out perfect though. Bite the bullet and go ahead and put it in a jar or tub with a lid. That crazy bag will puff it all over Creation.

how much to use in soap
Just wondering if anyone has used it in soap making and how much did they use in a 5lb batch

Used in soap
I like this product, and a little goes a long way. The only thing I don't care for is the packaging. I received it int he 4oz bag, and once the charcoal gets in the seam, it doesn't seal well. I love it, but Activated charcoal is very light, and very messy! I think a tub would work better for this product.

Game Changer
I cannot believe I haven't had this in my life soonder! I bought it to put in my toothpaste and mascara and decided to try it in a face mask with bentonite clay and aloe vera. Amazing. Then, I tried my toothpaste on my face for a face scrub and was told that I "looked better than I ever have" at a family reunion! Yea!!! My only drawback is I wish there was a sifter in the container because it is impossible to use without making a mess.

Great Activated Charcoal
Out of all the places we looked for this product, Bulk Apothecary has the best product and prices. We use it as an additive in our soap products and it is great.
