Based on the other reviews, I knew what to expect with the packaging. With that said, the packaging needs to be changed. I put the bottle in a pot filled halfway with water on the stove to melt it down to liquid form. Once this was done, I transferred the oil to a more manageable container so I could just scoop out the right portions for future use. The product itself was awesome and so is the price.

here it is september of 2016, & i mistakenly thought after reading the other reviews, that by now, this would, of course, be in a tub! nope.ok, so here's my idea:put it in the thick, resealable bags you'all use for powders, an opaque 1..i'm sure people will bitch about that too, but not near as much as now! 1 of my bottles warped & melted when i was melting the oil to put it in a tub, so i had to chuck it b/c who knows what kind of plastic toxins were released into the oil..i was so disappointed, b/c in spite of all this, i LOVE this oil! i even love the price, which i understand would rise if it were sold in a tub, this is why i believe you should think about my idea..thanks

As others have stated, this oil absorb without leaving a shine or sitting on the skin. I made a pain relief formula lotion with babassu oil as the primary oil and the results were outstanding. Rapid pain relief. Leaves skin feeling soft and moisturized. As others have stated often enough for a response, the packaging is not for the product. Luckily the weather is still very warm and I got enough out of the bottle without too much trouble. Will be a problem in December though. 5 stars for the oil, 0 stars for the packaging.

I have been nothing but pleased with this oil and Bulk Apothecary.

I order in another company "babassu" from a different mark and I never got it. The melt in the way the first time they leave in my steps and the second time never reach my house I still fitting for money return.
You pack the oil beautiful that when I am ready to use it still workable.

I have very dry hair and my daughter swims four times a week. I would put this on her hair before swimming. After washing and conditioning the hair to remove the chlorine, there is still a visible shine.
My only complaint (not against the product but packaging) would be to put the product in a jar similar to the Shea and Kokum Butter.

I would rate the oil at 5 stars but the packaging is just so awful. I bought the 7.5 and it comes in a jug - but it really needs to be in a bucket, just like the Shea Butter & Coconut oil. I have had trouble evenly melting the Babassu oil to pour it out - likely going to have to cut the top off the jug - which is time consuming and then you have storage and spoilage issues to worry about. Not happy about that :( Will think twice before ordering this again.

This Babassu is truly fantastic and priced well. I use it on my scalp after a shower, and blend it with other oils for my face at night.

However, being an oil that is solid at room temperature, I feel it should be in a scoopable container. I plan to remedy this by melting it down and pouring it into a glass jar.

I wasn't expecting a solid oil, but it melts really fast and isn't greasy once I rub it on my hands. I tried it on my hair overnight and it absorbed better than other oils and washed out well.
