This soap smells absolutely amazing. So, I don't smell the patchouli or the sandalwood. What I do smell is what it seems to be a mixture of Egyptian Musk and Anise (Black Licorice). It's weird but it works and is one of my favorite soaps to smell.

It lathers beautifully with lots of bubbles. I noticed the soaps from Soap Guy are very soft. They don't harden too much, even if I keep a loaf and separate the bars and put them on a separate shelf for a few weeks. They still stay just as soft as the day they were delivered. This isn't a problem but I do notice the bars go quicker than my cold process soaps I make at home that lather just as well. Mine last 3 time longer and are the same size... just take this into consideration when purchasing.

Nice soap but the appearance isn't as pictured. There is a lot less charcoal and swirl. The scent is pleasing and not overpowering. Similar to Old Spice.

Definitely a favorite of mine. I went ahead and purchased a loaf not really knowing what to expect but I am glad I did. Smells like a freshly groomed man on a Sunday morning lol

Lathers very well. The fragrance is grand, but not loud. All of my male clients crave this soap. I can't keep enough of it. Great soap overall.

The scent is divine but it didn't look very pretty for my customers. I would ask that the soap makers try to work on enough swirls. But awesome lather and the smell lasts long into the day.

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered, but I'm glad I did! I am loving this soap. Smells similar to licorice to me.
