I did in depth research to find the best price, and even with shipping, this is the place to get it. It is the powdered form, not the granular. I spent over $250 and used the coupon which was just a bonus. Boric acid has so many household uses in addition to being a great ingredient for skin care products. It's antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiparasitic properties make it an odorless choice for cleaning areas with or prone to mold as well as being a go to for wood that is outside or available to evil little termites. Especially when mixed with borax. Borax is not really water soluble until you add boric acid, then it dissolves completely making them both better, 'green' cleaning staples.

When I arrived home, the large box leaned against my house near the front door. The delivery person must have just dropped it there because a top corner of the box was dented and small amount of boric acid powder had flowed onto my front porch. Not a big deal, since I ordered 55 pounds and needed maybe 30 pounds.
I would have preferred stronger packaging or eleven five pound bags (or even five ten pound bags) to the single 55 pound sack of powder.
I suppose that is one reason the price was the best I could find anywhere.
All in all, I am happy to have it.

Since pharmacies no longer carry boric acid, Bulk Apothecary is a good source for the same USP quality product from fifty years ago. We just ran out of that jar and became aware that our pharmacist no longer carries it. We were fortunate to locate Bulk Apothecary on the internet and have just received a one pound bag. It will likely last us for anther fifty years.

Can't buy it in drugstores anymore, and it is a fundamental product for everyday health and comfort. thank you for carrying it in bulk. I can't give it five stars because I don't have anything to compare it with. But it seems just fine.

Great for getting rid of pests in the kitchen and other places in the home. Other uses too numerous to mention.
