Coconut Oil - How to remove from jug

Posted by Linda Deal on 31st Dec 2012

I've found the best way for me to deal with the solid oils in the small-mouth jugs. I use a serated knife to cut the top off the jug just under the handle. Then scoup the oil out and put it in empty plastic containers that our coffee comes in.

    Great oil, bad shipping

The product itself is great but the bottle it came in was not the best container for it, you guys might want to change that. But besides that the price and the product is great.

    Moisturizing!

Posted by Teri on 26th Dec 2012

I read that Coconut Oil is good for moisturizing the face and that's why I bought it. Note: I have dry skin and in my 50's so it might not be good for everyone. I've used it for about 5 days and it makes my face feel incredibly soft. I didn't melt it down because I like the thickness & texture when putting on my face. I'll let everyone know if I look 25 next week. haha

In a few words, please title your review

This is a great quality of oil. However I agree with the first reponder about the awkward container. Its very hard to get it out since you have to melt it each time to get it out of the container. I think I will ask that the oil be sent in another container should I order this product again. Also this was a great price.

I love the price, but the 8 pound amount is shipped in an awkward container that's meant to pour whatever the contents are. Because coconut oil melts at 76 degrees, it's mostly solid so it makes it difficult to get the coconut oil out without heating it in the container. I may melt it down once and pour it into a bucket so I can scoop it out instead of melting it down repeatedly in the same container.

By far the best price for coconut oil that I have found.

    Great product

Posted by Anne on 10th Dec 2012

High quality oil at a great price. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the difficulty in removing it from the container. Warming a plastic container without melting it was a bit time consuming.
