Gets the job done
This is a great little tool. My only complaint is that the plastic is a bit warped so the tray doesn't lay flat. Not so much that its unusable, but it tends to cause your balm to pool to the edges rather than spreading out evenly over the tubes. But it comes with a scraper that you can use to guide it where you need it.

If you are going to make lip balm/chap sticks using the filling trays is the smart thing to do.

Center hole creates a mess!
I started out with the purple trays, and therefore I had purchased the previous clear tubes that were sold by BA. Since then, the inventory has changed and I was forced to purchase new teal trays and clear tubes that fit the new trays. I am fine with the trays, except for 3 things: (1) they are not level and more importantly (2) the center hole is bigger and therefore the lip balm spills all underneath the tray and onto the other tubes creating a mess. (3) The fact that I had to invest in new teal trays without any credit for the purple ones I already had (and had not owned that long) was disappointing. The teal trays do not technically hold 50 tubes because the center hole is unusable. A plug or something else should be manufactured for the center to solve the problem of the spillage.

I can't imagine filling lip balm tubes without this tray. Super quick and easy with no mess or fuss. Tubes fit snug and secure for stability while filling and drying. A great value for this much convenience!
