Once natural luffa gourds have matured they are hand-picked and naturally dehydrated for almost 9 months. The inside of the luffa gourd is then processed and cleaned to be sold to the cosmetic industry. These pieces are cut down to be around 7/8 inch which is the perfect size for suspending 1 piece in a bar of soap.

Very Small
These were very small and around the size of a half dollar. They weren’t the natural color as pictured. I’ll shred them and make loofa soap that way but I’m really disappointed. Y’all need to clarify the size cause I feel like this is misrepresentation.

Not a gppd deal.
These are not 7/8" thick, they are 7/8" WIDE, meaning they are about the size of a half dollar, which is not clarified. I thought they were a hair short of an inch, which would have been perfect, but for a regular size round mold I have to use 3 of them. When I addressed it with Bulk Apothecary, they didn't care. They felt the misrepresentation was not present, or at the very least better details were not necessary. I won't be buying from this company again--these or any other products.

Undersized loofas: guest soap size, if that
Most of the pieces are approximately the same thickness. Diameter is variable, but they are all small. I'd hoped to have a 7/8" slice of a fully grown, 4" diameter loofa. Instead, they are mostly 2" diameter. Some are even smaller, like the pointy end of a loofa. These are guest soap size, not the regular bar soap size I was hoping for.

Nice product
The first bag of these that I purchased had loofah slices of so many different diameters it was a little irritating but I made do. The second bag was very uniform in size. Just perfect. Also, there will most likely be seeds in the loofah pieces. This was a surprise for me as I had never dealt with loofah as a raw material before. You learn something new everyday.
