Be prepared
I purchased the 50 lb. block. It seems like the best value. It comes in a thin plastic bag which is then placed into a cardboard box, (cube shape- about 15"). I ordered it, and it arrived in early August. Just so you know, it seems to have a low melting point as it was in a liquid state when it was delivered. Thankfully, the inner bag wasn't punctured or torn as that would have been a huge mess. I placed the box in my basement, and it firmed up in two days. It has a consistency like Crisco when firm.. I've made soap twice with it. Both batches seem fine so far. (Waiting for full curing.). My point being, you may want to consider ordering this at a cooler time of the year.
