The story of how this blend was created comes from the legend of four thieves which was cited in a number of aromatherapy books. The basic premise of the story is that for centuries, the bubonic plague outbreaks decimated Asian and European cultures. From this period came popular legends of thieves who were captured and charged with stealing from the dead. When the thieves were finally tried, they were offered leniency if they would reveal how they avoided contracting the infection as they performed these horrible acts. They revealed a concoction of herbs and vinegar known as thieves oil that they rubbed on themselves before committing their crimes. As time went on, researchers have taken the essential oils from some of these herbs sited in the legend and applied them to popular essential oil blends. It is important to note this is a legend and should not be used to support theories that thieves oil can prevent the bubonic plague or any other disease or infection.

Uses for our version of
Thieves Essential Oil
Thieves oil is a proprietary blend of essential oils that was made popular by Young Living. Because of the popularity of this oil many large companies in the aromatherapy industry have created compare to products that mimic the thieves essential oil recipe. - Add 3 to 4 drops of the essential oil to our best essential oil diffuser and diffuse for approximately 20 to 30 minutes to freshen the air in your home or workplace
- Make a 2% dilution of the essential oil blend in a base of fractionated coconut oil for use on your skin. This can also be mixed with your favorite massage oil for a muscle soothing massage.
- Breath it in by mixing 2% oil with hot water and breathe in the vapors.(be careful not to get too close and risk hot water splashing up on you or getting burned by the hot pan. )
- Fill a spray bottle with water and add the essential oil blend at a 2% dilution to make an all-purpose cleaning spray, which can be used on countertops, desks, and other surfaces. Make sure to shake before using, as the oil and water will naturally separate.

Second time to purchase
I use this around my home to sanitize and hopefully prevent colds and viruses.

My favorite essential oil blend
I've used 2 "our version of Thieves" as well as YL Thieves. This is my favorite. I have bad teeth and worse teeth pain. Dentist says I need 2 root canals and some fillings. Already have several of each. Using this oil on my gums and teeth has eliminated having to use anything for pain. I also switched to a natural toothpaste in addition to a diy toothpaste. May still need dental work eventually, but in the meantime I'm pain free with whiter teeth. I preferred the taste of the other 2, but this one seems to work best and has the additional advantage of an excellent price.

Love this version,
I have used many companys versions of "thieves". I find this company excellent and right in line quality wise and price. Always order the larger size as I use topically and diffuse it.

Excellent
I've been using this at work to spritz down my work space every day. Cleans everything up and smells amazing. Even my coworkers all love it. I've used it to help clean in the house and to help fight off a cold I was catching. I will be sure to always have this around from now on!

Love "Our version of Thieves Blend Essential Oil"
I was buying Y.L. oils until I came upon this web page. I bought the Thieves oil and it smells the same, it works the same. Why would anyone want to pay double or even triple for what Bulk Apothecary produces and sells. I am a member for life now.

Can't keep it!
I had a friend recommend Thieves to me as she wanted some soap made up. I can't keep enough made up now! From the scent to what folks have told me about helping some of their skin disorders, I am a firm believer now! Great price on it here and will definitely continue ordering more as I run out! Thanks for a new product line for me!

Can't keep it!
I have a friend that mentioned Thieves Oil to me and asked if I could incorporate it in soap. I said sure and gave it a try. I cannot keep enough soap made now! Immensely popular and keep getting reports of it helping to clear up acne and severely dryed and cracked skin. Even had one lady whose hands looked like they went through a meat grinder, after trying a sample bar of soap I gave her over the weekend, her hands were almost completely healed! I am a firm believer in it now!

I was using Thieves and liked it. Got from a friend, I always use BA for my purchases and when I saw you had come out with your version I was ecstatic. Ordered 2 bottles of yours and absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I sleep with it defusing all night and wake up feeling great. Thanks for all your oils they are great.
