The story of how this blend was created comes from the legend of four thieves which was cited in a number of aromatherapy books. The basic premise of the story is that for centuries, the bubonic plague outbreaks decimated Asian and European cultures. From this period came popular legends of thieves who were captured and charged with stealing from the dead. When the thieves were finally tried, they were offered leniency if they would reveal how they avoided contracting the infection as they performed these horrible acts. They revealed a concoction of herbs and vinegar known as thieves oil that they rubbed on themselves before committing their crimes. As time went on, researchers have taken the essential oils from some of these herbs sited in the legend and applied them to popular essential oil blends. It is important to note this is a legend and should not be used to support theories that thieves oil can prevent the bubonic plague or any other disease or infection.

Uses for our version of
Thieves Essential Oil
Thieves oil is a proprietary blend of essential oils that was made popular by Young Living. Because of the popularity of this oil many large companies in the aromatherapy industry have created compare to products that mimic the thieves essential oil recipe. - Add 3 to 4 drops of the essential oil to our best essential oil diffuser and diffuse for approximately 20 to 30 minutes to freshen the air in your home or workplace
- Make a 2% dilution of the essential oil blend in a base of fractionated coconut oil for use on your skin. This can also be mixed with your favorite massage oil for a muscle soothing massage.
- Breath it in by mixing 2% oil with hot water and breathe in the vapors.(be careful not to get too close and risk hot water splashing up on you or getting burned by the hot pan. )
- Fill a spray bottle with water and add the essential oil blend at a 2% dilution to make an all-purpose cleaning spray, which can be used on countertops, desks, and other surfaces. Make sure to shake before using, as the oil and water will naturally separate.

Highly Recommend
I am ordering my second bottle of this blend...I have had great success with it. I highly recommend this blend for winter months. I was skeptical at first because of price compared to other brands but with my first order from this company I ordered this blend plus other essential oils - this is the one I have used over and over due to the great results.

Yup, it works.
The leaf is used vs YL using the bark of the cinnamon plant. It's fine... It works the same. I researched the difference between the leaf and bark and both hold similar constituents and benefits so I decided to give it a try and it's the same! Believe it or not, you would never know the difference!

First time I have tried this product. We are using it in a diffuser. Love the smell. Happy that it is Therapeutic Grade. This is also the first order I've made with Bulk Apothecary and found the service excellent. Packing was excellent.

My friend is all in with Young living essential oils. I was having some back pain and she gave me her bottle of young living Thieves oil to try. It worked. But I'm a penny pincher and search for a better price. I found this site and ordered Thieves oil. I am excited to say it works just as well as the young living brand.
