The story of how this blend was created comes from the legend of four thieves which was cited in a number of aromatherapy books. The basic premise of the story is that for centuries, the bubonic plague outbreaks decimated Asian and European cultures. From this period came popular legends of thieves who were captured and charged with stealing from the dead. When the thieves were finally tried, they were offered leniency if they would reveal how they avoided contracting the infection as they performed these horrible acts. They revealed a concoction of herbs and vinegar known as thieves oil that they rubbed on themselves before committing their crimes. As time went on, researchers have taken the essential oils from some of these herbs sited in the legend and applied them to popular essential oil blends. It is important to note this is a legend and should not be used to support theories that thieves oil can prevent the bubonic plague or any other disease or infection.

Uses for our version of
Thieves Essential Oil
Thieves oil is a proprietary blend of essential oils that was made popular by Young Living. Because of the popularity of this oil many large companies in the aromatherapy industry have created compare to products that mimic the thieves essential oil recipe. Thieves is a Trademark of Young Living LLC. Bulk Apothecary is not owned by and/or affiliated in any way with Young Living LLC.
- Add 3 to 4 drops of the essential oil to our best essential oil diffuser and diffuse for approximately 20 to 30 minutes to freshen the air in your home or workplace
- Make a 2% dilution of the essential oil blend in a base of fractionated coconut oil for use on your skin. This can also be mixed with your favorite massage oil for a muscle soothing massage.
- Breath it in by mixing 2% oil with hot water and breathe in the vapors.(be careful not to get too close and risk hot water splashing up on you or getting burned by the hot pan. )
- Fill a spray bottle with water and add the essential oil blend at a 2% dilution to make an all-purpose cleaning spray, which can be used on countertops, desks, and other surfaces. Make sure to shake before using, as the oil and water will naturally separate.

I LOVE IT ALREADY!
Having never smelled Thieves before, I fell in love with the scent immediately! I have already used to spray bed sheets, comforter, pet bedding, counters, used on a cut for healing, and used a few drops to ward off beginning of a runny, sneezing, sniffling nose. Needless to say, I love it and very affordable! This will be a staple in my house! Thank you!

Adore This Blend
I've been wanting to use a "thieves" essential oil for a few months but it was hard to find locally and pretty pricy! I'm so happy with Bulk Apothecary's thieves blend. I started getting a sore throat and a stuffy nose and immediately added a few drops to my morning juice and my symptoms went away within a few hours. I can't wait to make my own natural cleaning products with thieves next!

All I can say is WOW!!!!!
I was skeptical about trying this but man I'm glad I did. The price is amazing and the quality is too. I have been using different immune support products for years including Thieves by Young Living and this product is really top notch. I will definately be back for more.

High quality with a great price!
A high price does not always mean a better product. Bulk Apothecary's Thieves blend is amazingly priced, almost so low as to question the quality. Don't. The quality is amazing, as per usual with these guys. Why pay $45 when you can pay $12?
I just had a bout of strep about a month ago and couldn't seem to get rid of the icky white pustules on my tonsils. I started gargling with a drop in some water in the morning and before bed when I got my Thieves oil earlier this week, and those white spots are gone. I only wish I had had this oil before it started. Keep up the good work, Bulk Apothecary! -
