The story of how this blend was created comes from the legend of four thieves which was cited in a number of aromatherapy books. The basic premise of the story is that for centuries, the bubonic plague outbreaks decimated Asian and European cultures. From this period came popular legends of thieves who were captured and charged with stealing from the dead. When the thieves were finally tried, they were offered leniency if they would reveal how they avoided contracting the infection as they performed these horrible acts. They revealed a concoction of herbs and vinegar known as thieves oil that they rubbed on themselves before committing their crimes. As time went on, researchers have taken the essential oils from some of these herbs sited in the legend and applied them to popular essential oil blends. It is important to note this is a legend and should not be used to support theories that thieves oil can prevent the bubonic plague or any other disease or infection.

Uses for our version of
Thieves Essential Oil
Thieves oil is a proprietary blend of essential oils that was made popular by Young Living. Because of the popularity of this oil many large companies in the aromatherapy industry have created compare to products that mimic the thieves essential oil recipe. - Add 3 to 4 drops of the essential oil to our best essential oil diffuser and diffuse for approximately 20 to 30 minutes to freshen the air in your home or workplace
- Make a 2% dilution of the essential oil blend in a base of fractionated coconut oil for use on your skin. This can also be mixed with your favorite massage oil for a muscle soothing massage.
- Breath it in by mixing 2% oil with hot water and breathe in the vapors.(be careful not to get too close and risk hot water splashing up on you or getting burned by the hot pan. )
- Fill a spray bottle with water and add the essential oil blend at a 2% dilution to make an all-purpose cleaning spray, which can be used on countertops, desks, and other surfaces. Make sure to shake before using, as the oil and water will naturally separate.

Nice product for the season
I felt I would keep this diffusing most days during the holidays and flue season. This is more economical for long term use so I purchased a larger 16 oz size and am glad I did.

this is supposed to be Theives
It looks lit thieves, Smells like thieves, works like thieves, so it must be thieves? It is just a small botle, that I use to rub an the bottom of my feet, and it makes them soft, and ot works good, it isn't big enough to use a lot of for all the cleaning around here, but it is good for your mouth and teeth too!

Love the Thieves Blend!!
I not only used this blend in our home diffuser, I have purchased diffusers for my grandchildren's teachers. Hopefully breathing Thieves will cut down on the number of illnesses for the children. The Bulk Apothecary price makes this possible.

Smells exactly like yl
I have the yl thieves in my pantry as well as now this blend. Was curious to smell the difference. There is none!!

My favorite blend
I used to buy the expensive competitors oil. This is less expensive by far and I love the smell much better. It leaves a clean smell and I have had nothing but compliments on how my apartment smells. Delivery is super fast!
