It is a little stiff but it still works great!!!

Rancid
After making my first batch of conditioner bars I noticed they started to smell rancid. (Which is my least favorite scent on this planet.) So I checked everything, the coco butter purchased here, shea butter I purchased here, almond oil I purchased here and all the scented oils... Then the coconut oil I didn't get here, but it was fine along with everything else.
Then I opened the tub for the conditioner base and I could tell right away what the culprit was. It's the conditioner base #B010-052-001.
There's no expiration date on the tub itself, so I can't fault quality control. But I'll definitely be more cautious about getting this kind of base again.
I need to make everything myself since I'm allergic to everything, so this was a big disappointment. -
Great Conditioner Bar
I have been using this base and it is fabulous! I do not add anything to it except fragrance. Conditioner's will not lather, I tell my customers this and I instruct them to get the bar wet, rub it in their hands and then gently rub the bar through their hair. I find it leaves the hair soft and nourished.

Conditioner base
It works very well. You need to know how to work with it though. I add a very large amount of additional ingredients to this basic conditioner to provide the desired effects. Also, with bar conditioner they need to be rubbed in wet hand and over hair to apply. Once you get used to working with it I think it's great.

Stephenson Conditioner Bars
I have remelted this product three times, adding small amounts of argon oil/olive oil each time in attempt to make the bars a bit softer. The bars are too hard to distribute the conditioning product through my hair. I have communicated with the Stephenson people twice now. I am going to remelt one more time and try adding shea butter. The company needs to include specific directions about required additives with/on the product packaging.

Stephenson conditioner hard base
made this in small bars and when it hardened it was rock solid hard. No lather, was not creamy., Very disappointed. I re-melted it and added 1/2 oz. of Argan oil to it to make it useable.
