12" Silicone Loaf Mold: This sturdy silicone mold has thick, reinforced sides to prevent bowing. Naturally, this mold is perfect for creating rectangular bars of soap with nice straight edges. Since it is made of silicone, this mold is extremely easy to release your soap and wash. As with most silicone molds, your cp soap may need an extra day or two in this mold to fully harden since the flexible silicone sides do not allow air inside the mold, which results in slower evaporation of water and hardening of your soap. Works well with melt & pour soap, too!
Tips: 1. If making Cold Process soap in this (or any) silicone mold we recommend adding Sodium Lactate to your recipe. This will help to harden up your soap so that there won't be any dents or finger marks from unmolding the soap. 2. This mold may bow a little if filled all the way to the top. In our tests, leaving 1/2" - 1" space from the top made unmolding easier and didn't bow the sides.
Care of your mold: We recommend hand washing your mold.
Cavities: 1
Cavity Dimensions: 12" (length) X 2-1/8" (width) X 3-1/4" (depth)
Cavity Capacity: Holds 50 oz to the brim, however, we recommend only filling it 45oz for ease of unmolding
Mold Material: Silicone

Awesome mold
This thing is sturdy and well made. It did not have that weird silicone smell either. Love it

LOVE
I love this mold. I use it for my shampoo bars and some of the facial bars. I also use it with a horizontal crinkle cut on scrubby/seedy type soaps. It looks great. I consider the fact that it bows out after filling a plus, because the resulting shape fits perfectly and comfortably in your hand. Narrower at the bottom and wider at the top. I place it in my customers hands and show then how it fits so nicely. And they love it too. It makes a very user-friendly shaped bar. sometimes I also under-fill the mold for smaller soaps that I use for fundraiser soaps.

Almost perfect
This mold is just ok. It is well made and sturdy. My issue with it is that once you pour the soap into it, the mold sort of bows out at the top so instead of rectangular bars, you end up with kind of an isosceles trapezoid shaped bar of soap. I find these bars hard to display as the heavy tops cause them to tip over.

Tall and skinny mold
I love this mold,a lot but it does need to be a little thicker because it does bow in the middle.loaf is easy to get out and looks pretty sliced taller and thinner than wide molds.

Tall 12" mold is good
I've only used it once so far so I can't call it GREAT. BUT- it did work well with my cold process soap. The shape is perfect and fits the kraft boxes I also purchased from Bulk Apothecary.

love this mold
love this mold, it's a great mold, gave it 4 stars due to the fact it bow's out in the middle even though it is suppose to be reinforced, still love it and it will definitely be getting a work out.

Perfect size bar in easy to use mold
We've been wanting a tall and skinny for months and decided to go for it. Boy are we glad we did, the mold makes a great size bar and the mold is well made, easy to use, and a snap to clean up. Some people mention that it bows out, we didn't have this problem as we placed the empty tall and skinny into our wooden log mold then filled it with batter, this prevented any bowing. If you are "thinking" about a tall and skinny mold go ahead and get one, you won't be sorry.

Perfect
Looks like this would be super in both cp and oven process. I haven't used it yet so can't say how it fares though.
