the explanation is exactly what is provided. When they say it is thick, they mean THICK! I can't get it to drop out of the bottle! Thankfully I have droppers/pipettes that allow me to extract the contents of the bottle. Perhaps for these thicker in consistency products, a different container would be appropriate.

Vetiver is a hidden gem. It has a deep, earthy scent that may take some getting used to. Like most “earthy” EOs, it has a deep grounding effect. Great for use in anxiety or calming blends. I accidently discovered two delightful things: it’s great for sleeping and relaxing (zonked my husbands out after he spilled some on him) and it helps relieve restless leg syndrome (RLS). I keep a mix of this and MCT oil in a roller bottle by my bed. If you are diffusing, make sure to stir your vetiver mix well with the water before adding it to your diffuser. It is extremely viscous and will just sink to the bottom. Once you stir it up to blend it, it will diffuse nicely.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I believe the oil is of very high quality. Now, if I can just get dearly beloved to leave the diffuser on, I'd be a happy happy camper.

Received the sample size of this. I make my own perfume blends using both essential and fragrance oils, and had never worked with real vetiver before. This oil smells like the REAL scent of damp and earthy Autumn leaves, not rotten or in a bad way but in that truly wonderful and fleeting way here in the Midwest. So many fragrance oils and candles/waxes/etc with names like "Autumn Leaves" or "Fallen Leaves" but of course smell nothing close to the real deal and usually have top notes of citrus and ozone etc. This essential oil smells like the real thing in a great way. It is strong as I had hoped and lasts for quite a while, I have already added just a few drops to multiple earthy woods fragrance blends and this EO adds so much depth with just a few drops, so the price is doable. Really glad I took a chance on this one, worth it.

I bought this initially for an emotionally traumatized 2 yr. old that I know. But before I had the occasion to use it on her...I blew my disk out on my back between L4-L5...so I had my husband apply this Vetiver oil to my entire spine with Frankincense over the top. WOW! I not only slept for 8 hours straight, I did not need any pain meds for the following day. I am so encouraged with these results! I may not even need the steroid injection scheduled for, in 2 weeks. I will continue to use this nightly and enjoy the relief and healing it fosters. YAY!! is all I can say. :-)

There used to be a vetiver shower gel, years ago, and I loved it. Have been looking for more ever since, and finally decided I'd have to make my own. First of all, high marks for efficient shipping and excellent packaging. The vetiver oil is excellent: it's VERY strong, so start with just a few drops until you get used to it.

Very happy with quality and smell of the oil. Great price and quick ship time. Always love my Apothecary products.

I have to say that I love Vetiver and how it works in my products, but you have to be aware that this is super strong and very sharp smelling. I only use 1 to 2 drops of this in about 8 oz product. It does mellow after a few hours when used straight, but be aware if you have trouble with smells this could be too strong for you. I don't have trouble with smells and it gave me a headache right out of the bottle.

I love vetiver for it's calming earthy quality and have used extremely expensive bottles I've purchased elsewhere. The oil I purchased here blew me away. Excellent quality. I can't get enough of it. I'll purchase here again.
