White Stephenson Melt and Pour Soap Base (Crystal WST)

I purchased a 25 lb block. The soap was hard to cut, really soft, and crumbled. Once it was unmolded the soap felt sticky even after setting for several hours. The soap doesn’t lather well, I thought I might have added too much fragrance oil so I melted some base with no fragrance and had the same problem.

I bought a 25 lb block of this and it was so hard to cut, I have to chisel it to come apart, it took a long time to melt it down and then it seemed to almost burn before it melted all the way. Once it was set up, I tried to use the soap and it had no lather, no bubbles at all even after several attempts/ washings. Not sure if I got a bad batch but it seems like when I use other soaps, this does not happen. Not happy with this purchase and don’t recommend this product.

We've been making soap for just over 18 years and have utlised various Bases. After now having used Stephenson's we can't imagine going back to any of the others. It is very well formulated, and... although it is 'UnScented', the very, very faint scent that is naturally present carried by its combined constituient ingredients is a very gentle & pleasant 'Clean Soap'. It absolutely does not compete nor interfere with any scents (Essential &/or Fragrance Oils) we choose to add to our batches and, in fact, carries them all well. Its cleaning power is unsurpassed considering how also gentle it is as a soap base.
We've utilised both the Stephenson White and the Stephenson Clear and they are both wonderful.

I been doing soaps for years. I buy this base and is good. Very, very good. great lather and very creamy.
I did Goat's milk soap for sensitive skin and I only use this base, Goat's Milk, avocado oil and Avocado butter. Highly recommended.

This soap base is an overall excellent product. I have added honey to it which turned out awesome. I just ordered my second box because It was so affordable and easy to work with.

Higher melt temp than a different brand I've used, making me worry about certain fragrances with low flashpoint but no problem so far. Becomes a harder soap than I'd like so I'll save this for when I have a lot of liquid additives to mix in. Wasn't impressed with the lather though, takes a while to form a nice amount of bubbles. Could be easily improved with some coco betaine. Just minor preferences, the product itself is great.

Very creamy and smooth. Very nice quality base.
